Kelly Fillingham
Kelly is a 26 year old central midfielder and is also Lockwood’s 1st Team Captain.
Kelly has been playing hockey for about fourteen years and her previous clubs include Chapeltown Hockey Club and Sheffield Hockey Club.
If Kelly’s team mates were to describe her in three words they would be, Captain, Motivator and problem solver.
The advice Kelly would give to anyone who wishes to join Lockwood Park Dragons is to give one of the team captains a ring and ask any questions that you might have, then just come down to a training session on a Tuesday night and join in.
The benefits that Kelly feels you get from playing Hockey are, ‘Social benefits, fitness benefits. Its good to be part of something bigger, plus I am competitive’.
If Kelly didn’t play hockey she would play another sport, probably Rounders or Football.
When asked how hockey makes her feel Kelly said ‘it depends what day you catch me on’.
