When asked what benefits there were to hockey Laura feels they are, helping you maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle. You can meet new people and socialise. It is enjoyable and good for your confidence.
If Laura did not play hockey she says she would “probably play another team sport such as netball or do more outdoor activities such as walking”.
When asked how hockey makes her feel Laura said, “It depends on how I and the team are playing or whether we are wining. Generally though when I’m playing I like feeling part of a team and supporting my team mates. I am always trying to play my best and be committed to winning. Mostly I feel confident. I am competitive and feel a big desire to win which can mean I am quite aggressive on the pitch although I do normally stay calm.”
