City of York 0 - 2 Lockwood Park Dragons 2

Lockwoods 4th win so far since promotion last season, has seen them climb to 2nd place in the division 1 table.

Saturdays trip to York saw the visitors play some of the best team hockey so far. They dominated from the outset and took control in the middle of the pitch, with some slick passing and created the chances for the forwards. It was 20mins before Lockwood capitalised, with Green picking up a pass from the midfield and calmly slipping it under the keeper to give them a 1-0 lead. The pressure continued and the home team was unable to penetrate Lockwoods defence, led by sweeper Di Napoli.

The 2nd half continued as the 1st half finished, with Lockwood in control and some great work by man of the match Maddaford and the rest of the team, kept the pressure on. Some lovely play down the right saw more chances created and Lockwood were awarded their 2nd goal after a strong free hit by Maddaford was flicked up at the goal by Green, who then followed up the shot to make sure it hit the back of the net.

Another great team performance and Lockwood were worthy winners of the three points.
