Would you like to sponsor us?
 
Lockwood Park Dragons would be delighted to hear from you if you would like to become a sponsor of our club for the 2007/08 season.  Not only can we offer you an exciting package to help raise awareness of your company/organisation; we also put the sponsorship that we receive to very good use.
 

The sponsorship that we received in the 2006/07 season made a great difference to our club. That, combined with our own fundraising activities (e.g. 5am car boots!!) helped our players gain umpiring qualifications, allowed our younger players to access facilities at a much reduced charge, financed a club coach and training sessions for the year and added a little sparkle to our playing shirts. We would like to say a BIG thank you to all our sponsors from 2006/07; your support is greatly appreciated.

 
How we can promote you
If you are interested in sponsoring our club then here are some of the opportunities that we can offer you to promote your cause:
 
  • space to display an advertising banner around the hockey pitch at Lockwood Park, Huddersfield, (remember 4 ladies teams, 7 mens teams and Kirklees Juniors all play here!)

 

 

  • inclusion in monthly newsletters to all members of our club

 

  • a weekly match report published in the Huddersfield Examiner, mentioning you as our sponsor

 

  • and dependant upon progression in cup competitions, further regional and national publicity

 

  • finally, if you are interested in sponsoring team kit, your logo would also be included on the items.

 

 
Contributing to our Club

We would love to hear from you and discuss the various ways in which you may like to sponsor us, the main options being:  

 

  • a financial contribution, which will go towards funding a coach and training sessions for the 2007/8 season, the value of which is at your discretion.

 

  • sponsorship of a club away strip

 

  • sponsorship of a match day tracksuit

How your sponsorship helped us in 2006/07
Your sponsorship goes way beyond helping us to buy new kit, here are a few ways that sponsors helped our club in 2006/07:
 
  • Mr Meghan, owner of Grappolos Italian Restaurant has sponsored the club's training sessions, helping us to cover the cost of pitch hire.  This contribution helped to make training freely accessible to those who want to play hockey in the local area and has been a great help to our younger players.

 

  • Funding from the Leonard Cowburn Trust allowed us to employ a club coach for the season.

 

  • Peugeot, Huddersfield's sponsorship has assited the 1st team to play in the North League, paying our entry fee into the league.

 

  • Holly at Field Hockey World has kindly sponsored all the club's new home shirts - smartening us all up ;-)  thanks Holly!

 

  • Mr McNulty, owner of McNulty's Funeral Services has likewise enabled us to buy a club away kit, which can be used by any of our 4 teams when needing a change of strip.
